The pigging valve is a T-type trunnion mounted ball valve, specifically designed for oil and gas long-distance pipelines. It builds on the principles of fixed ball valve design with improved functionality and innovative design. The valve operates by rotating the ball 90° to open and close the valve, utilizing a double piston effect to ensure a reliable seal. This design also incorporates double block and bleed functionality, allowing the discharge of medium from the valve cavity when the valve is fully opened or closed. It retains all the advantages of fixed ball valves and is highly adaptable. The valve features a side branch perpendicular to the main flow channel, which is equipped with a quick-opening blind plate and a bleed valve to facilitate pigging operations.
Key Features
Innovative T-Type Trunnion Design: Facilitates efficient pigging operations, enhancing pipeline cleaning effectiveness.
Double Piston Sealing Effect: Provides excellent sealing performance, even under pressure fluctuations or thermal expansion, ensuring zero leakage.
Double Block and Bleed Functionality: The valve is designed with an integrated cavity relief function, which discharges the medium from the valve cavity during full open or full close, reducing the risk of buildup in the pipeline.
Quick Access Design: The side branch of the valve body, perpendicular to the flow centerline, includes a quick-opening blind plate and bleed valve, allowing for rapid insertion and removal of pigging devices.
Versatile Applications: Primarily used in oil and gas long-distance pipelines, as well as in petrochemical, refining, and other industrial pipeline cleaning and maintenance operations.
Installation and Usage
Installation Requirements: Ensure the flow direction of the pigging valve aligns with the flow direction of the pipeline.
Usage Considerations: Designed for high-pressure, high-temperature environments, and continuous, reliable operation. Regular pigging operations are recommended to maintain a smooth flow within the pipeline.
Custom Design Options
Special materials, coatings, temperature ratings, and pressure classes are available upon request to ensure the valve meets specific operational requirements.
